Who is Zosimos?
"I am a visual artist and photographer in NYC. I experiment with light, shape, and abstract compositions in photography. I also work with paint, usually watercolor, sometimes acrylic. I strongly believe in the concept of 'play' as a conduite for imagination and creation."
What does your art process look like?
"Playing is an important part of my artistic process because it allows me to create without inhibitions. I love experimenting with a process or an object and translating it through different mediums from photography to painting to printing. I like printing things. There's something amazing about reproducing your own artwork in a physical form, and holding a version of it that you don't need to be precious with."
How do you get inspired?
"I am most inspired by movement, action, shapes, facial expressions, and stories. When your muse appears you have to follow because you don't know where it might lead. It might be something cool or not, but you went there and you know you have explored. That's what matters."
